What is the best long board (skateboarding) for a beginner?

I'm thinking about learning how to long board, just being able to cruise/carving (no tricks), and my question is what is the best long board for a person with no experience with long boarding (I'm a complete beginner)? And what would I have to keep in mind while searching/buying one?
