Can i join the Airforce is i have a misdemeanor that was dismissed (simple battery)?

I want to know if this will stop me from joining the air force, i spoke to a recruiter and he said there not accepting waivers right now but from what i know i do not need a waiver, i only went to Pre trial. If so what other branches will accept me, i had dreams of becoming a para-rescuer but i feel my dreams are falling apart due to a couple accidents growing up. Please help me out with a little advice. Thanks
