What are the best brands of skateboards?

Ok i'm a girl and my friend showed me how to ride a skateboard yesterday. I don't know like anything about the brands but i really want to buy one! Can you please tell me what the best brands to get are and which brands not to get. Also, im 13 and about 5'5 so is there a certain length i should get? Thanks soooooooooooo much !!!
