Why is this front page headline news in our South Texas newspaper?

Since the comics, advertisements and other features are ready to distribute by Saturday afternoon, many papers will publish an early Sunday edition and put it on the streets. The news and sports will go out with whatever generic stories they can pull off the wire. It is likely the story has already been replaced on the front page.
