I don't know if my mum is being serious?

Hi my name is Tim and my mum really wants me to be good at Skateboarding and I'm pretty good I've won a few competitions but she said that if I don't make it to the big time she will kill herself. I don't know if I could handle that. Note: I heard Asian parents are a bit over the top sometimes but do you think she might be serious?
